Au Coin Du Feu

This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Megeve. Au Coin du Feu is so cozy and warm you feel like you’re home. The staff goes out of their way to ensure that your stay is perfect. Our room had a great view of the village and mountains and is located in town so you can walk everywhere. One rainy night we decided to stay in and the chef prepared us a delicious meal of Beef Bourgogne. Final note; our dog Bentley was with us and was welcomed with open arms. 🐾 He was so happy to dry off and rest by the fireplace after a day of hiking and swimming in the lake. A big thank you to Nicolas and Marine and all the staff for helping us make wonderful memories. À bientôt.

If I could give zero stars I would. Customer service was unfriendly and impatient. They are not accommodating. I recommend finding another hotel that prioritizes their customer rather than the money. I will never stay here in the future. There are many other hotels in Megeve that are better. Edit to reply to the “Owner”: my wife and I were to celebrate our honeymoon in Megeve. The booking was under her name, as their reply shows they are aware. We tested positive for covid three days prior to our reservation and had to cancel all travel plans (we are from the United States). Every other hotel and accommodation have been understanding and working with us to resolve. This Au Coin du Feu hotel was rude and disrespectful, as you can tell by the tone of their reply. Even the booking.com rep stated that the hotel “just hung up on them.” Again, this situation is a clear example of how this hotel prioritizes money over the health and well-being of their clients. Please exercise caution if thinking about staying here. Edit 2: This hotel edited their reply and removed their own statement that I should assume the responsibility for my choices. I suppose that implies my wife and I should have chosen not to get covid. Odd position to take. It is surprising that a hotel manager would find it “funny” that their staff can be so alarmingly rude and short with customers that they make an immediate impression after only being on a call for a few minutes. I suppose their staff only follows examples set by management, though. Again, I urge any potential customers to look elsewhere. My wife and I certainly will be once we can safely travel again.

A great 3* hotel with a service of a 5*! Wonderful personnel all around. Rooms are beautifully and comfortably renovated. The coziness of the decor around the hotel, makes you forget that in fact, you are at a hotel and not in a privat mountain chalet. The restaurant cuisine is very fresh and not overdone, a very local "cuisine du marché" at very reasonable prices, considering that we're talking here of Megève. We love it and have already made a reservation for our next stay! The missing star in my review goes to the fact that there's no indoors parking garage, although there are plenty of street parking spaces. Nothing wrong with taking in a bit of mountain fresh air!
